What workloads do each instance family suit?
General-purpose g2 fits most web apps and backend services; memory-optimized m2 suits relational databases and caches; compute-optimized c2 is built for high-concurrency APIs, AI inference, and transcoding; storage-optimized s2 is for log aggregation, data warehouses, and large-capacity access scenarios.
Can instances be resized online? Is a reboot required?
Vertical hot-resize within the same spec is online and non-disruptive; cross-spec resize involves one brief reboot of a few seconds. All instances support horizontal scaling, and combined with auto-scaling groups, you can achieve fully transparent expansion.
What billing options are supported? Is enterprise procurement supported?
